Encounter

Encounter is the High School Youth Group at Christ the Redeemer. We are a small group based model where we keep teens together in the same group for the duration of their time with us. We split groups by biological sex and high school.  Encounter is included as part of the year 1 and year 2 of formation as teens prepare for their Confirmation.

Encounter is open to all teens grades 9-12. Whether you have been confirmed or not, if you are in high school this is for you!

However, teens wishing to be confirmed, must be entered in Encounter.

Each week we meet as a large group where we play games, listen to an engaging talk on our faith, and learn and practice different forms of prayer. We then break into small groups to discuss and apply the lessons to our lives.

At Encounter we have teens from all the schools in CFISD as well as many from Catholic schools, Tomball, Waller and those who are homeschooled. We also have some of the coolest adults around who come each week to share and lead our small groups.

 Each of our small groups is no larger than 10 teens, who for the most part, attend the same school.

Encounter is a great place to come and have an encounter. Faith is an encounter with the person of Jesus Christ. Whether it is through the message shared, a conversation with a core team member, or another high school teen, we come each Sunday to have an encounter with Christ. Come to be fed. Come and see.
