Stacie McKay was born in Rochester, New York, but as they say, “moved to Texas as fast as she could” with her parents at age 5. Since the third grade, her family has resided in Cypress, being one of the Founding Families of Christ the Redeemer. She fondly remembers the days of stacking chairs at “St. Millsap” after Sunday Mass. Stacie is the eldest of six children, and while she doesn’t have kids of her own, she helped raise her younger siblings. She even became an Assistant Youth Minister here at CtR when her younger sisters were in high school. She taught Confirmation classes here and in the many places she lived.
After moving around and working in the corporate world, she returned to the Cypress area and was hired by her “home parish” as a Pastoral Associate. Stacie loves dancing, singing, gardening, dogs and giving of her time to others. She fell in love with the sport of lacrosse when her youngest brother started playing in middle school. She has volunteered for various lacrosse organizations and is currently the Event Coordinator for Shootout for Soldiers - Texas and the Past-President of the Houston Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse. Not ignoring her Cypress roots, she is also a volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
