In Rise, the youth have the chance to go on their first retreat with Christ the Redeemer Youth Ministry. The retreat is held onsite at Christ the Redeemer. It is a two-day Retreat packed with fun, games, talks, and prayer. This retreat will run from Saturday morning until Sunday around noon. This retreat is also an overnight retreat! It is a great opportunity for the youth to get more acquainted with their small groups in addition to growing in the community of other youth their age.
Candidates must attend a retreat for their Confirmation 1 year. We will offer a Spring Retreat. Other options are Steubenville Conference and a Summer Retreat. The date for the 2024-2025 retreat is March 21-23, 2024. The retreat will run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. The retreat will be held at Forest Glen Camp, teens must ride the bus to and from the retreat.
Registration is open and will close February 28th or when all spots are full.
We realize all teens are busy and parts of sports teams, extracurriculars, etc. In order to make it fair to every teen who is giving up something to be on retreat, teens must attend the entirety of the retreat.
This retreat is not possible unless we have enough chaperones. All Chaperones must be at least 21 years of age and Safe Environment trained. Come with us!
***The e-mail address you use in registration will be the e-mail address we use to contact you prior to the retreat.***
The Confirmation II Retreat is a highlight for many of our Candidates. Since we keep small groups and leaders together, by the time they get to Confirmation II, the small group really has become a family. The Candidates enjoy going away and spending the weekend together learning, growing, praying, and spending time together.
The Confirmation II retreat will be on January 17-19, 2025 at Forest Glen Camp in Huntsville, TX. Candidates must attend the entirety of the retreat.
If the date doesn't work for you, you'll need to find an alternate retreat date at another Catholic parish in our archdiocese. The alternate retreat must be a "Confirmation II Retreat".
These retreats cannot happen without enough adults on both the Retreat Team and as Chaperones. Please consider experiencing this retreat with your child. Adults do not need to pay for retreat but we use chaperones to ensure that students are safe and happy over the weekend. All adults must go through Safe Environment online training in order to attend. Please read some feedback from some parents who have come as chaperones in the past:
